The Hollywood Riviera or The Village, as it is referred as by the locals, was originally brought by a developer in hope of creating the ideal Hollywood .

It is a common sight here to see the locals surfing and playing with the waves. Beach volleyball is another popular sport here. The wide and flat beaches provide the perfect venue for this sport. The gold medalist Kerri Walsh belongs to this place.
